Mint, original 1959 production. We believe this to be an original undisturbed example of this model. Clean, oiled mirror bore. Have to nitpick to find flaws. There is a tiny chip in the stock off of the top tang. A little finish thinning on the tube from cycling. A few minor dings or scuffs to the wood. Won't picture. I haven't seen thousands or even hundreds of 42s, but this is the nicest one I've ever held. Not "new out of the box", but not far off either.
